*Baby beets can be eaten in the same way as larger beets. The greens are also delicious and can be eaten raw or cooked. We 'thin' our beet beds so that the remaining beets in the beds will grow larger.

**We harvested cilantro for you today as it needed to be cut.

#Fava beans take some work to prepare, but are so worth it. Once one of the most widely grown beans in the world, fava beans are a little harder to come by these days. Enjoy! http://chefinyou.com/2009/05/how-to-cook-fava-beans/

##At the time of this post we are still harvesting snap peas.

CUTTING GARDEN: This week you may take large bunches of basil. Please try all of the varieties: genovese, thai, lemon, and lime. You may also take several bunches of any of the other herbs. Please cut yourself a medium sized bouquet of flowers.
